Jesuit High School is a fully accredited, independent, college preparatory, boys’ private high school. The school is located in the greater Sacramento area in the beautiful Northern California. Besides preparing students well for college, a Jesuit High School education prepares today’s students to become tomorrow’s leaders – men of competence, conscience and compassion. The private high school continues the long tradition of Jesuit education aimed at educating the whole person – mind, body and spirit. With parents as partners, the school offers a challenging educational experience of academic excellence, co-curricular involvement, and spiritual formation. Education is more than textbooks and report cards, though these obviously play a key role in teaching and learning. The goal at Jesuit High School is development of the total person, and student activities help to address this goal. The school is passionate about student involvement and every Jesuit students is encouraged to participate in a co-curricular activity requiring time and commitment on his part. The school offers more than 50 clubs and 36 athletic teams.


Jesuit High School is committed to academic excellence and offers a superior four-year college preparatory education conducted by Jesuits. Currently the school has 1,065 students including a senior class of 267. Admission is selective; approximately 70% of the applicants are admitted each year. Traditionally 98-100% of Jesuit High School’s graduates go immediately to college, 88-90% to four-year institutions, approximately 38% to private colleges and universities. 63% of the Jesuit High School professional and certified staff hold a Master’s Degree or higher. Jesuit High School offers Honors and AP classes to its sophomore and junior students.
